3 km di murales sulla Sopraelevata di Genova

A 3-kilometer-long open-air gallery is transforming the Sopraelevata (via Aldo Moro) in Genoa, connecting the Porto Antico to the Lanterna. Since 2016, the biennial project Walk The Line—curated by Linkinart, PAGE Public Art Genoa, and trasherz.org—has been repurposing the road's supporting pillars into a canvas for street art. One hundred international and local street artists will reinterpret one hundred pillars using graffiti writing, new muralism, stencil, and poster art, accompanied by a soundtrack of one hundred tracks created by the Magellano collective. Five pillars have already been completed by Stringa (Silvia Giuseppone, Italy), Hope (Drina A12 and Giuliogol, Italy), Spartaco (Ruben Carrasco, Mexico), Ninfa (Combo Culture Kidnapper, France), and A Sky for One’s Own (La Fille Bertha, Italy). Pillar 080 marks the start of 2017 activities, with further pillars by Seacreative, Orion, Joys, and others to be announced during a festival from June 11 to 17. Accompanying talks and debates will take place throughout April at the Museo d’Arte Contemporanea di Villa Croce as part of Lettere della Città, a series exploring graffiti evolution in Italy, culminating in a collective exhibition starting April 28 featuring the EAD crew from Padua—including Yama, Peeta, Joys, Orion, and Dado—united by lettering as an evolution of graffiti.
