26TH AND 10TH Exhibition Blends Jean Prouvé, Danh Vo, Misha Kahn in Chelsea Loft

In Chelsea, a new exhibition titled “26TH AND 10TH” transforms a loft at 516 West 26th Street into an immersive environment mixing collectible design, contemporary art, photography, sculpture, and historical objects. Presented by BILLYCLARK and Paris-based advisory _POLIMENO, the show runs from May 11 through 23. Curated by Valerio Polimeno, it builds on ideas from _POLIMENO’s 2025 Art Basel Paris presentation “Room with a View.” Works include Jean Prouvé’s rare SCAL No. 450 Bed with Swivelling Tablet, Danh Vo’s Mamy Poko Pants Diapers, a Roman statue of Asclepius, Agnes Questionmark’s beeswax Self-Portrait, Robert Wilson’s Pierre Curie Chair, Misha Kahn’s Fruit Snacks on the Dash chair, Elizabeth Jaeger’s ceramic bird sculptures, Peter Schlesinger’s photographs (portraits of Amanda Lear, Andy Warhol, Rex Reed, David Hockney), Line Vautrin’s mid-century jewelry, and pieces by Tom Wesselmann. The installation uses Venetian blinds, reflective surfaces, and lighting to create a cinematic atmosphere. Polimeno describes the project as part of a shift toward participation and emotional resonance over ownership.
