25 Columnas: OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen's Swedish Lake House

architecture-design · 2026-05-04

OFFICE Kersten Geers David Van Severen designed a holiday house in Plintsberg, Sweden, supported by a grid of 25 columns. The 250 m² structure, completed in 2024, features two horizontal slabs that leave the natural ground beneath untouched. Situated on a forested slope overlooking a lake, the house is accessed from above, making the roof a prominent fifth facade. Clad in aluminum sheets, the roof softly reflects its surroundings, helping the building blend into the landscape. The project was curated by Hadir Al Koshta, with photography by Bas Princen. Engineering and consultancy were provided by Dala Massivträ (structural) and INTEC (mechanical), with construction by Skoglunds.
