23 Artists Reimagine Dante's Inferno in Cagliari Group Show

The group exhibition 'Inferno,' curated by art critic Roberta Vanali at Galleria Siotto in Cagliari, commemorates the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death by showcasing the work of 23 artists from various disciplines, including illustrators, graphic designers, street artists, and tattoo artists. Featured artists include Ermenegildo Atzori, Piercarlo Carella, Laura Congiu, and many others. Each participant was tasked with interpreting a canto, scene, or episode from Dante's Inferno, employing techniques such as watercolor, ink, graphite, colored pencils, and digital media. The exhibition delves into the themes of sin and guilt, drawing inspiration from renowned artists like Sandro Botticelli and Salvador Dalí. Due to pandemic restrictions, video insights from the artists are available on social media, with plans for a future in-person event.
