22RE Designs Milanese-Inspired Bar di Bello Restaurant in Los Angeles

architecture-design · 2026-04-20

The Bar di Bello, a 2,000-square-foot Northern Italian eatery located in Silver Lake, has been brought to life by the Los Angeles design firm 22RE. This venue showcases walnut millwork, a striking red travertine bar, and contemporary furnishings, featuring custom banquettes and a dining area that accommodates 40 guests. The lighting, a collection of mid-century icons, includes works by Olivier Mourgue, Afra and Tobia Scarpa, Hans-Agne Jakobsson, and Vico Magistretti. The design exudes a cozy warmth with Art Deco influences, reflecting Italian dining traditions. An outdoor area, crafted in collaboration with landscape designer Sarita Jaccard, is set to open later this summer. Established by Dean Levin in 2021, 22RE has also worked on various offices and boutiques for Malbon. Photography by Sean Davidson.
