21Gallery Opens New Padova Space with 'Audaci' Exhibition

21Gallery, founded in Treviso in 2021 by entrepreneur Davide Vanin with support from Alessandro Benetton, has expanded to Padova. The new venue is located in the historic Palazzo Colonne at Via San Francesco 34, renovated by Fosbury Architecture—curators of the Italian Pavilion at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale. The gallery is directed by Elena Comin, a marketing and communications professional and art collector. The inaugural exhibition, 'Audaci. Dalle avanguardie storiche agli artisti mascherati, l’arte del libero pensiero,' curated by Cesare Biasini Selvaggi, runs from April 16 to August 30, 2025. It features about thirty works including paintings, sculptures, installations, and photographs by artists such as Giacomo Balla (Forze di paesaggio + polvere, 1918), Yayoi Kusama (Polka Dots, 1990), Carla Accardi (Orli neri, 2000), Alex Katz (Turban, 1971), Jan Vercruysse (Les Paroles XXII, 1998), Cindy Sherman (Untitled #166, 1987), Catherine Opie (Miggi & Ilene, Los Angeles, California, 1995), and emerging urban artists Gonzalo Borondo (Cristo gif, 2021) and Laika (Self Portrait against war, 2024). The exhibition explores free thought and audacity in art.
