$210M Neo-Baroque Megamansion in Caesarea Hits Market
A mansion in Caesarea, Israel, priced at $210 million, has claimed the title of the most expensive home currently on the market. Finished in 2015, this 63,000-square-foot estate was crafted by Citterio F.lli, with Cristiano Mattia Ferme as the lead architect, alongside Yuri Puchinsky, while Mor Avidan handled the landscaping. The opulent residence boasts intricate stonework featuring marble, onyx, lapis lazuli, tiger's eye, and malachite, along with 14-karat gold-leaf accents, silk trim, fluted Corinthian columns, grand chandeliers, inlaid flooring, ceiling murals, and stained glass. Inside, it offers a grand salon, lounges, a billiards room, a ballroom-sized game room with a starry ceiling, two kosher kitchens, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, and ten powder rooms. A separate 9,700-square-foot spa complex includes an indoor pool, resistance swim spa, hammam, gym, and suites for massage and hairdressing. Amir Davidson of Davidson Realty is managing the listing. Built by Russian billionaire Valery Kogan, who owns Moscow's Domodedovo Airport, the estate was previously linked to Kogan's $21 million condo sale at New York's Plaza Hotel and his $31 million purchase of a Tel Aviv apartment. He also made news in 2017 for reportedly hiring Mariah Carey and Elton John for his granddaughter's wedding.
