2026 Venice Biennale announces national pavilion artists including Lubaina Himid for Great Britain, Alma Allen for US
Scheduled from 9 May to 22 November 2026, the 61st Venice Biennale will showcase a diverse array of artists. Among those participating are Lubaina Himid (UK), Alma Allen (USA), Genti Korini (Albania), Khaled Sabsabi (Australia), and Florentina Holzinger (Austria). The Bahamas will be represented by Lavar Munroe and John Beadle, while Miet Warlop hails from Belgium. Brazilian artists Rosana Paulino and Adriana Varejão, along with Gery Georgieva from Bulgaria, will also take part. Additional artists include Abbas Akhavan (Canada), Dubravka Lošić (Croatia), Marina Xenofontos (Cyprus), and Yto Barrada (France). Noteworthy contributions will come from Ei Arakawa-Nash (Japan), Dana Awartani (Saudi Arabia), and Margaret Whyte (Uruguay). The event will introduce curated exhibitions from various nations, including inaugural pavilions from Moldova, Morocco, and Nauru.
