2026 Ineos Grenadier Gets Improved Steering for On-Road Use
The 2026 Ineos Grenadier receives a variable-rate steering box that significantly improves on-road handling, reducing the previous model's tendency to wander. The update addresses criticism of the original 2022 launch's heavy-duty hydraulically assisted steering, which had a huge turning radius and lacked self-centering. The new steering is faster in the first 45 degrees in both directions. Other 2026 updates include a carpeted interior (replacing rubber and plastic), an overspeed warning that can be disabled from the infotainment home page, and nets on front seat backs. The split-opening rear door (30/70) remains. Tested in Iceland on demanding roads to Eleven Deplar Farm, a luxury retreat on the Troll peninsula. The 3.0-litre petrol engine achieves around 19mpg. Pricing starts at approximately £62,695. The Grenadier retains its retro Land Rover-inspired design.
