2026 Beijing Auto Show Sets World Record with 380,000 sq m Exhibition Space
The 19th Beijing Auto Show, held from 24 April to 23 May 2026, broke a world record with 380,000 sq m of exhibition space across 17 halls. The event featured 1,451 vehicles, including 71 concept cars, and nearly 1,000 exhibitors. Domestic Chinese brands like BYD, BAIC, Chery, Geely, Li Auto, Nio, and Xpeng dominated, alongside Western, Korean, and Japanese brands. Hyundai unveiled the production-ready Ioniq V, while Smart presented the #2 Concept, a compact EV returning to its original city-car ethos. Other highlights included the iCar Robox Concept, BYD Ocean-V Concept, Peugeot Concept 6 and 8, Geely Eva Cab robotaxi, Hyundai Earth Concept, Buick Electra Zenith Concept, and Geely Galaxy Light Gen II. The show underscored China's role as the world's largest and most technologically advanced vehicle market.
