2025 Music Releases: Boards of Canada, Massive Attack, The Cure Rumors and Confirmed Albums

Rumors are circulating about new music from Boards of Canada, Massive Attack, and The Cure in 2025. According to Consequence, Massive Attack may release new material, their first since 2009's Heligoland. Boards of Canada, absent since 2013, are approaching the 30th anniversary of their debut EP Twoism. The Cure's Robert Smith hinted at an album of outtakes from Songs of A Lost World by next summer. Confirmed releases include Franz Ferdinand's The Human Fear and Ringo Starr's Look Up on January 10; FKA Twigs' Eusexua, Mogwai's The Bad Fire, and The Weeknd's Hurry Up Tomorrow on January 24. February sees Deftones, Dream Theater, and Lady Gaga. Lana Del Rey's The Right Person Will Stay is expected May 21. Dates for Blondie, LCD Soundsystem (performing at Primavera Sound Barcelona on June 7), and Swans are unknown. Italian releases include Myss Keta (January 17), Fedez, Achille Lauro, Gué, Joan Thiele, Gianluca Grignani, Ludovico Einaudi, Jovanotti (January 31), and doom metal band Messa with The Spin.
