20 Italian Galleries at TEFAF Maastricht 2017 with Major Sales

At TEFAF Maastricht 2017, 20 Italian galleries displayed their artwork, and many made impressive sales. Galleria Francesca Antonacci Damiano Lapiccirella Fine Art from Rome sold Hermann Corrodi's "Tramonto sul Nilo" along with four pieces by Johann Jakob Frey and a 1919 work by George Henri Tribout. Tomasso Brothers Fine Arts from London sold a rare Giambologna wooden sculpture of Julius Caesar for €1.5 million. Salamon & C from Milan found a buyer for Federico Moja's depiction of the Palazzo Ducale di Venezia at €85,000 to an American collector. Other participating galleries came from Milan and Rome, including notable names like Cardi Gallery and Lampronti Gallery. Vistamare from Pescara sold "La bella addormentata" by Ettore Spalletti to a Monte Carlo collector.
