16th Rome Film Fest Honors Tarantino, Burton with Career Awards
The 16th Festa del Cinema di Roma runs from October 14 to 24, 2021, with Antonio Monda at the helm as artistic director. This year, both Quentin Tarantino and Tim Burton receive career honors. Among the guests are Jessica Chastain, Claudio Baglioni, Joe Wright, and Frank Miller, who is joining online, along with the Manetti Bros and Marco Bellocchio. The festival highlights 22 female directors from around the globe, showcasing many first-time works. Noteworthy films include documentaries on Monica Vitti and Gigi Proietti, as well as titles like Crazy for Football and I Am Zlatan. The event wraps up with the premiere of Marvel’s Eternals, directed by Chloé Zhao, before its November 3 release, alongside Italian film L'arminuta on October 21.
