16th Photo Festival La mer en partage in Guilvinec and Treffiagat-Léchiagat

The 16th edition of the Festival Photo La mer en partage will take place from May 29 to September 30, 2026, in the communes of Guilvinec and Treffiagat-Léchiagat in Brittany, France. The festival, founded in 2012 by Michel Guirriec, Lannick Vigouroux, and René-Claude Daniel, has become a major cultural event in the region, attracting over 70,000 visitors annually. This year's theme is 'Partage' (Sharing), focusing on the sharing of resources, routes, and knowledge related to the sea and oceans. The program features 17 photographic series selected by an artistic committee, including historical photos, school projects, and a photo club section. Three hundred images will be displayed over five kilometers, complemented by projections, conferences, and two photo marathons. The festival opens with a weekend where photographers are present for exchanges and conviviality. Free outdoor exhibitions are installed in the port area, accessible throughout the summer. Special events include guided tours on Wednesdays in July and August, photo marathons on July 21 and August 18, and a partnership with the bookstore De l'encre à l'écran for the 'En Mer, En livre' festival on August 2-3. A photo sale on August 13 supports the festival and the SNSM (National Society of Sea Rescuers). The festival aims to promote photographic creation and image education, exploring maritime culture from a human perspective.
