other · 2026-04-26

On April 17, 2024, in Botkyrka, Sweden, the NET–IDEA project concluded with the collective action "Be Everything Belong," supported by the Inside Out platform of French street artist JR. The campaign, funded by the European Union and coordinated by the Istituto Cooperazione Economica Internazionale (ICEI) in Milan, aimed to promote youth activism and intercultural dialogue. From 2022 to 2024, the project equipped local authorities in 16 European cities with tools to address social issues, inclusion, and anti-discrimination. The final event featured 130 portraits of young activists pasted on the walls of Hallunda Folkets Hus, a major cultural center in Botkyrka, forming a large inclusive mosaic. The portraits were the result of workshops and meetings over two years exploring identity and belonging. The Inside Out project, launched by JR in 2011, has involved nearly half a million people in 148 countries through over 2,000 actions focusing on diversity, community, racism, rights, and art.
