The 12th Biennale dell'immagine in Chiasso, which runs until November 14, 2021, is under the direction of a new curatorial team and centers on the theme 'FAKE. Visual distortion.' Established in 1996, the event features five primary exhibitions. At Spazio Officina, Joan Fontcuberta presents 'Crisis of History,' showcasing pieces such as 'The Artist and the Photograph' (1994-98), 'Trepat' (2014), and 'X. B.' Meanwhile, Nicolas Polli's 'Ferox. The Forgotten Archives 1976-2010' is displayed in a public air-raid shelter, highlighting the IEMS space research initiative.
