10th Santiago Castelo International Photography Prize opens for entries

The Asociación de Extremadura para la Unesco has announced the tenth edition of the Premio Internacional de Fotografía Santiago Castelo for 2026. Open to photographers over 18 of any nationality, the competition accepts up to two works per author in high-resolution (300 dpi) digital or analog, black-and-white or color. AI-generated images are disallowed. Entries must be submitted online via www.mundoarti.com from April 6 to May 18, 2026. The first prize is €4,000, and the winning work becomes part of the association's collection. A second copy will be produced at the expense of the Centro Unesco de Extremadura. An honorable mention of €600 is also awarded, with no donation required. The jury comprises Spanish and Portuguese experts in photography, visual arts, and cultural heritage. Selected works will tour the EUROACE euroregion, and the award ceremony will take place in Extremadura.
