102 Artists in Rome Exhibition as Puzzle Pieces of Art History

The exhibition 'Tutti puzzle per l’arte 2003 – 2023. Segni per dissonanze armoniche' is currently on display at Palazzo Merulana in Rome, curated by Bruno Aller and Marisa Facchinetti. Running from October 13 to November 19, 2023, the event showcases the works of 102 artists, each contributing a piece designed as a puzzle element, collectively investigating the diverse compositional and dialectical interactions among various artistic expressions. This initiative began in 2003 with 27 artists and has grown over the last twenty years. Notable participants include Luigi Boille, Carlo Lorenzetti, and newcomers Tommaso Nicoletti, Antonia Ciampi, and Fabio Mariani. The exhibition also features a section for the founding members of 'I Diagonali' and 17 calcographic prints from the Club 365 project. Curator Bruno Aller emphasized the intention to present art in a 'playful' yet 'serious' manner, moving beyond commercial influences to reveal contrasts and hidden connections in abstraction and visual poetry.
