La 45ª edizione della mostra fotografica Aipad abbraccia 200 anni del medium
Oggi, 22 aprile, segna l'apertura della 45ª mostra fotografica dell'Associazione Internazionale dei Mercanti d'Arte Fotografica (Aipad) alla Park Avenue Armory di New York. Circa 65 espositori, principalmente dagli Stati Uniti e dall'Europa, stanno partecipando. Una nuova sezione chiamata Focal Point presenta 13 presentazioni individuali. Tra i partecipanti di ritorno ci sono Bruce Silverstein e Howard Greenberg Gallery, mentre Galerie Sophie Scheidecker fa il suo debutto. Lydia Melamed Johnson, la direttrice esecutiva, sottolinea l'impatto emotivo della fotografia e l'importanza di differenziare le immagini create dall'uomo. La Howard Greenberg Gallery espone le fotografie a colori di Joel Meyerowitz degli anni '60 e '70, in coincidenza con il suo premio alla carriera al gala dell'International Center of Photography il 28 aprile. L'evento si svolge dal 22 al 26 aprile, con programmi speciali su IA e fotogiornalismo.
