Tragic Attack at Ugandan Kindergarten Leaves Four Children Dead

A violent incident occurred on Thursday at a kindergarten in Kampala, Uganda, resulting in the deaths of four young children. The attack took place at the Ggaba Early Childhood Development Program school located in Makindye Division. According to police reports, a man in his thirties gained entry to the facility by pretending to be a parent. He then used a knife to assault children who were approximately two to three years old. Among the 14 children present at the time, three boys and one girl were fatally stabbed. Police spokeswoman Racheal Kawala confirmed the details of the tragic event. The suspect had previously visited the nursery the week before, inquiring about admission for a child and paying fees, with instructions to return this week. Following the attack, angry local residents attempted to lynch the man as he tried to flee. Security forces intervened by firing tear gas to disperse the crowd and subsequently arrested the suspect. The incident has drawn significant attention and concern.
