Tavares Strachan's Exhibition Critiques Historical Erasure Through Pop Art at LACMA

In the second installment of her monthly column, design anthropologist Dori Tunstall discusses Tavares Strachan's 2025 exhibition 'The Day Tomorrow Began' at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The exhibition features 'Wash House,' an installation that employs Pop Art aesthetics to critique the erasure of inconvenient historical truths in U.S. history.
