Tacocat Speakeasy Opens at Utah's Lodge at Blue Sky Resort

A new cocktail bar named Tacocat Speakeasy has launched at The Lodge at Blue Sky, part of the Auberge Resorts Collection in Wanship, Utah. Situated in a yurt on the resort's 4,000-acre property in the Wasatch Mountains, approximately 30 minutes from Park City, the venue offers Mexican-inspired cuisine and cocktails. Chef Guillermo Tellez oversees the food program, while the concept was developed by Blue Sky's general manager Joe Ogdie and director of operations Bradley Russell. The speakeasy operates only on weekends and requires reservations, with access via a seven-minute drive up a dirt road in resort vehicles. Russell cited inspiration from New York City's Superbueno bar, aiming to create a celebratory atmosphere distinct from the resort's fine dining offerings. The experience includes interactive elements like dice-rolled cocktail selections, Polaroid photos of guests, and a casual vibe described as resembling a college party or treehouse gathering. The yurt structure has been on site for four years, with Tacocat representing one of several recent additions to the property. In January, Auberge announced new residential developments at the location designed by AJC Architects, and filmmaker Guy Ritchie's WildKitchen dining series is scheduled to return this summer.
