Special Soprintendenza Event Premieres Uncovered Rome Documentary Series at Cinema Troisi

The Special Soprintendenza of Rome is hosting a public screening event for the first season of the documentary series 'Uncovered Rome' at Cinema Troisi on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 8:15 PM to 10:15 PM. The evening will feature opening remarks by Special Superintendent Daniela Porro and project creator Alessio De Cristofaro, Director of IC-VEPP (Central Institute for Economic Enhancement and Promotion of Cultural Heritage), with moderation by journalist and film critic Damiano Panattoni. The four-episode series, which premiered successfully at the Rome Film Festival last autumn and became available on Prime Video in late February, aims to refresh scientific documentary formats with a focus on audiences under 30. Directed by Giulia Randazzo with music by Alessandro Librio, the series stars Giuseppe Lino as a young content creator tasked with documenting five lesser-known archaeological sites in Rome on social media, accompanied by his dog Kyria. The narrative centers on cultural memory, employing a horizontal storytelling approach without scripts by engaging actual visitors to these locations, blending original footage with archival materials and interviews to reveal the city's everyday urban fabric often overlooked by tourists. Funded by the Fund for Enhancing the Promotion of Italian Culture and Language Abroad (2022-2024 triennium), the project is produced by the Special Soprintendenza of Rome under the Ministry of Culture. The event will take place at Cinema Troisi located at Via Girolamo Induno, 1 in Rome.
