Spain's Council of Ministers to Approve Artist Statute Decree Excluding AI
Spain's Council of Ministers is set to approve on Tuesday a Royal Decree regulating the special employment relationship for artists in the performing, audiovisual, and music sectors, as well as technical and auxiliary staff. This is a key step toward the long-awaited Artist Statute, developed by the Ministry of Labor led by Yolanda Díaz and the Ministry of Culture led by Ernest Urtasun. Contrary to announcements made in January, the final text will not include a ban on artificial intelligence replacing workers.
