Spacetype Design Duo Releases Gogh Geometric Sans-Serif Typeface

On October 6, 2020, design partnership Spacetype introduced their inaugural independent typeface called Gogh. Created by Mirela Belova and Stan Partalev, this geometric sans-serif combines contemporary aesthetics with classic influences. The font features balanced proportions that ensure readability without sacrificing distinctive character. Key design elements include a generous x-height, clearly defined glyph shapes, and open terminals that facilitate smooth text flow. Gogh performs well across both digital displays and printed materials. The type family offers ten weights ranging from Hairline to Black, each with corresponding italic versions. It also exists as a variable font format, providing flexible weight adjustments and reduced file sizes for web applications. Language support encompasses Extended Latin and Cyrillic scripts. Additional features include an alternative stylistic set for contemporary display effects and comprehensive OpenType functionality with ligatures, numerical variants, fractions, and localized language options.
