Seattle Symphony Premieres Peanuts Symphonic Experience with Vince Guaraldi Music

On March 27, the Seattle Symphony presented the global debut of a new Peanuts symphonic concert. This production celebrates the music of composer Vince Guaraldi, marking the 75th anniversary of his first professional recording session and the 60th anniversary of the television special "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown." Gershwin Entertainment Corp produced the event, which incorporates original animated backdrops from beloved Peanuts TV shows including "A Charlie Brown Christmas," "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," "You're in Love Charlie Brown," and "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving." Guaraldi's soundtracks maintain remarkable chart success decades after their release. In 2022, "A Charlie Brown Christmas Album" reached No. 2 on the charts, and in 2025—sixty years after its initial release—it returned to top positions on Traditional Jazz, Jazz, and Children's Music charts while peaking at No. 7 on the Billboard 200. During the first week of January, Guaraldi ranked as the No. 7 top artist, and his song "Christmas Time is Here" climbed to No. 23 on the Billboard Hot 100. Widely regarded as the greatest holiday album of all time, "A Charlie Brown Christmas Album" continues to dominate seasonal music charts.
