Santiago Montoya's '1400 Ultra' Editorial Explores Psychorealism and Latin American Identity

Santiago Montoya, a Medellín-based fashion photographer, creative director, and visual artist, has published a new editorial titled '1400 Ultra: A Techno-Renaissance Ergot Poisoning Dream' in KALTBLUT magazine. The editorial features model Andrew Vlaz and is described as a celebration of freedom and radical identity, serving as a visual declaration against suppression of diverse, evolved societies. Montoya, who identifies as a polymath, moves between photography, art direction, styling, digital art, and cultural critique. He defines his practice as Psychorealism, where fashion photography interrogates the world rather than merely decorating it. His work intersects fashion, science, geopolitics, and social commentary, focusing on the uncomfortable, rejected, and misunderstood.
