Castiglion del Bosco, a Rosewood Hotel, is a historic 5,000-acre estate in Tuscany dating to the 1100s. The property, recently restored by Massimo and Chiara Ferragamo, offers luxury accommodations in converted medieval farmhouses with traditional Tuscan design elements. It features an 18-hole championship golf course designed by British Open winner Tom Weiskopf, a vineyard producing Brunello di Montalcino wines, and a two-Michelin-starred restaurant, Ristorante Campo del Drago, led by Executive Chef Matteo Temperini. Additional amenities include a cooking school, spa treatments using products from Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella, and activities like truffle hunting and horseback riding. The estate is located within the UNESCO-protected Val d'Orcia and hosts seasonal events such as the Festa Della Domenica from June to September. Guests can also experience the Palio di Siena horse race from a private vantage point. The property reopened for the season with enhanced offerings for both culinary and recreational travelers.
