Robert Frank's 1949 Paris Photographic Album Published by Delpire
In autumn 1949, Swiss photographer Robert Frank created a photographic album of Paris while staying in the city. The collection features approximately 80 prints capturing street scenes, residents, and everyday objects. Delpire has now published this notebook, which reveals early stylistic elements that would later define his seminal work 'The Americans.' Frank made the album for his fiancée Mary, who remained in the United States during his Paris visit.
