Reality Show 'Les Anges' Returns After Hiatus with Focus Shift Following Harassment Allegations

The reality television program 'Les Anges' is making a comeback on French network TFX after a five-year hiatus. The show's return follows numerous controversies and allegations of harassment, sexism, and psychological pressure from former participants, some of whom filed formal complaints. The new season, produced under the TF1 group, aims to distance itself from this problematic history by shifting focus toward participants' professional ambitions rather than interpersonal conflicts. Filming will again take place in Miami, with contestants pursuing careers in fields like bartending, dancing, modeling, and singing. Key figures involved include Fabrice Sopoglian, the show's longtime producer and director, who acknowledged past missteps but emphasized preserving the program's original concept. He will be joined by Isabelle Matuidi, an entrepreneur and partner of footballer Blaise Matuidi, and influencer Jazz Correia, a former contestant known for confrontations. According to Rémi Faure, TF1's programming director, the revamped format seeks to add substance and align with TFX's editorial standards, moving away from emphasis on romantic entanglements and disputes. The premiere is scheduled for Monday, April 6, marking an attempt to rehabilitate the series' image while maintaining its core identity.
