Queen Elizabeth II's historic christening robe displayed publicly for first time at Buckingham Palace exhibition

This historic garment, crafted 185 years ago, was first showcased at Princess Victoria's christening in 1841 and has been passed down through the royal family. Queen Elizabeth donned the robe as a one-month-old during her christening in May 1926. This item is part of an exhibition titled Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style, which has been displaying around 200 fashion pieces since April 10. This centenary exhibition is the most extensive showcase of her wardrobe, highlighting her fashion evolution over ten decades. The gallery is located in the former private chapel of Buckingham Palace, enhancing its historical significance.
