Persian New Year Celebration at New York City Venue Features Culinary Arts and Cultural Traditions

A private Nowruz dinner was held at Jean's restaurant in New York City to mark the Persian New Year and spring's arrival. The event was organized by hospitality professionals including Celine Yousefzadeh Laz, Alexandra and Davitta Niakani, Savi Shahbazi-Downs, and Lailee Taghdisi, who have connections to establishments like CY Kitchen, Catch, Bartolo, and Jean's. The evening featured Persian cuisine from Nasrin's Kitchen, wines from Azizam, pastries from Bibi Bakery and Popilee, and CYK Caviar. A traditional haft seen table displayed symbolic items, and the celebration included discussions about diaspora identity and cultural preservation. Following the meal, the space was transformed into a dance venue with DJs Shereen Cohen Kheradyar and DJ Lil Buddy.
