Nick Haymes' 'Chronograph': A 25-Year Family Epic Through Photography
Photographer Nick Haymes has unveiled 'Chronograph', a visual narrative spanning 25 years of his family life, published by SPBH Editions, a division of MACK books. This extensive volume, nearly 450 pages long, showcases 1,000 photographs featuring his wife Lina and their sons Philipp and Larence, merging the closeness of a family album with the perspective of a monograph. Based in Los Angeles, Haymes is recognized for works such as 'Dancing on the Fault Line' (2025) and 'The Last Survivor Is the First Suspect' (2021). The book opens with four images from 11 September 2001 and transitions into scenes of family life. Haymes' archive includes 45,000 images, including one captured by his son on his wedding day. An exhibition at Graces Mews is scheduled from 3–12 September.
