A new photographic volume titled 'Nave Scuola Amerigo Vespucci. Orgoglio italiano' has been published by Scripta Maneant, documenting the historic Italian naval training vessel. Edited by retired Admiral Cristiano Bettini and created with the Italian Navy and DIFESA SERVIZI S.p.A., the bilingual book coincides with the ship's second global circumnavigation in 2023. The publication explores the vessel's dual role as both a functional sailing ship and an educational platform that has trained naval officers since its 1931 launch. Designed by engineer Francesco Rotundi with inspiration from 18th-19th century French naval architecture, the Amerigo Vespucci continues to serve as a floating ambassador representing Italian maritime heritage worldwide while conducting environmental monitoring missions.
