Chilean singer Mon Laferte has released 'Femme Fatale Vol. 2', a follow-up to her 2024 album, featuring over fifty songs written during the same period. The album opens with 'For Your Consideration', a critique of guilt, neoliberalism, capitalism, and optimism. Laferte also addresses love, the passage of time, genocide, and Botox. In an interview during her visit to Madrid for Pride, she reflected on the music industry's double standards, stating, 'Women in music have an expiration date when we are no longer young and pretty 20-year-olds.' She also acknowledged her role as a product and business for many people. The album is part of her ongoing creative output, which she describes as her way of living.
