Memo Paris Launches Menorca Fragrance Inspired by Island Life

Memo Paris, the elevated perfume brand co-founded by Clara and John Molloy, has released a new fragrance titled Menorca, inspired by the Spanish Balearic island where the family has a home. The scent, created with perfumer Sophie Labbé, features notes of bergamot, lemon, ginger, sandalwood, musk, and neroli, evoking the island's sea breeze and coastal atmosphere. The launch was accompanied by a trip to Menorca for a small group including Labbé, artist Shir Daniel (who created illustrations for the fragrance), and curator Sarah Andelman, formerly of Colette. Clara Molloy, who grew up in Paris with Spanish parents, describes Menorca as her "place of grace." The fragrance is part of Memo Paris's destination-inspired line, which includes scents like Madurai and Odéon. The brand collaborated with Sal de Menorca on a candle. The trip included visits to Hauser & Wirth's mini-island gallery (featuring an exhibition by Martin Creed), gardens by Piet Oudolf, Mola Fortress, local galleries like Tabouret, and a shop curated by Milk Magazine founder Isis-Colombe Combréas. Labbé noted that salt is a trending note in perfumery, offering a new way to express freshness.
