Leïla Slimani Joins Prado Museum's Literary Residency Program
The Museo del Prado has announced that French-Moroccan author Leïla Slimani will participate in its 'Escribir el Prado' program. Slimani, who won the Prix Goncourt in 2016, will begin her residency in Madrid on April 19, 2024. During her stay, she will create an original text inspired by the museum's collections, which will be published in bilingual Spanish and English editions. The program, supported by the LOEWE Foundation and Granta en español, aims to foster dialogue between literature and visual arts. Slimani will also hold a public discussion on May 5, 2024.
