Lecture Series on Queens Isabel I and Juana I of Castile at Fundación Juan March in April 2026

The Fundación Juan March in Madrid will host a lecture series named 'Isabel I y Juana I, reinas de Castilla: historia y mito' on April 14, 16, 21, and 23, 2026, starting at 18:30. This series will delve into the reigns of Castile's queens, Isabel I and Juana I. Isabel I is noted for her efforts in promoting religious cohesion and expanding territory, which bolstered Castile's influence. Following her husband's death, Juana I was confined to Tordesillas after she ascended to the throne. Mª Isabel del Val Valdivieso will present on April 14 and 16, while Miguel Ángel Zalama will speak on April 21 and 23. Attendance is available through an online lottery or at the box office, with live streaming on Canal March and YouTube.
