Kazakh Quartet Celebrates 30th Anniversary with Global Tour and Paris Concert

The Gaziza Zhubanova String Quartet, known as the Kazakh Quartet, marks its 30th anniversary with a worldwide tour, including a performance at Salle Cortot in Paris. Pianist Ludmila Berlinskaya joins the ensemble, bringing a direct lineage to Dmitri Shostakovich's music through her father, Valentin Berlinsky, founder of the Borodine Quartet and mentor to the Kazakh Quartet. The program features Robert Schumann's First Quartet, Gaziza Zhubanova's First Quartet—after whom the quartet is named—and Shostakovich's Piano Quintet, performed with depth from this living heritage. The tour also includes stops at Amsterdam's Concertgebouw and a debut at Carnegie Hall in New York. The event is supported by Abay Sarsenov and partnered with Club Artistik Rezo.
