Jacques Attali's 'Enquête de famille' Adaptation at Théâtre La Reine Blanche Explores Family Secrets

A theatrical adaptation of Jacques Attali's novel 'Le livre de raison' titled 'Enquête de famille' is being staged at Théâtre La Reine Blanche. The play centers on Sophie Chardin, granddaughter of the renowned violinist Paul Chardin, who is interviewed by a New York Times journalist on the thirtieth anniversary of her grandfather's death. During this investigation, family ghosts emerge to testify, gradually revealing hidden truths. Paul Chardin is portrayed as a complex figure who worked on 'the purification of music' for the Vichy government. Post-performance discussions are scheduled with various guests: on April 19 with Ben Zimet, a storyteller, singer, and writer specializing in Yiddishland, discussing roots and uprooting through music; on April 22 with Jacques Attali, the novel's author; again on April 26 with Jacques Attali; on May 6 with Serge Hefez, a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst at La Pitié-Salpêtrière; and once more on May 13 with Jacques Attali. The event is presented as a partner event of the Club Artistik Rezo.
