Iran Strikes Gulf Infrastructure in UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait

On Sunday, Iran launched drone and missile attacks against civilian infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait. The strikes targeted energy and industrial facilities, with authorities in Abu Dhabi reporting fires at the Borouge petrochemical plant in Ruwais Industrial City. Operations at that facility were suspended for damage assessment, though no injuries occurred. These attacks represent the latest in a series of salvos over recent weeks, which Iran justifies by accusing its Gulf neighbors of permitting U.S. forces to use their territory for operations. The Gulf states have consistently denied these allegations. The conflict escalated at the end of February with initial U.S. and Israeli strikes. While air defense systems intercepted some projectiles, falling debris still caused significant damage to critical infrastructure across the region.
