International Collaboration Restores 17th-Century Japanese Door Panels for Museum Loan

Conservators from the Seattle Art Museum, the British Museum, and Tohoku University of Arts and Sciences are jointly restoring a set of 17th-century Japanese sliding door panels titled 'Kinkishoga, Sennin-zu (The Four Accomplishments and Immortal).' The conservation work is taking place at the Tateuchi Conservation Studio in preparation for an upcoming museum loan. This international effort aims to preserve these opulent artworks for future public display.
