Gibellina Named Italy's First Capital of Contemporary Art for 2026
In 2026, Gibellina, which was reconstructed following the Belice earthquake in 1968, will become Italy's inaugural Capital of Contemporary Art as part of the 'Portami il Futuro' (Bring Me the Future) initiative. This project is backed by the Ministry of Culture, Regione Siciliana, Comune di Gibellina, Museo d'Arte Contemporanea Ludovico Corrao, and Fondazione Orestiadi.
