Fondazione LMDV to Open Cultural Hub in Pietrasanta's Former Town Hall
The Fondazione LMDV, founded by entrepreneur Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio (son of EssilorLuxottica founder Leonardo Del Vecchio), is launching a new cultural hub in Pietrasanta, Italy. The project will revitalize the former municipal palace, housing the Archivio Storico di Pietrasanta museum and the expanded municipal library. Mayor Alberto Stefano Giannetti highlighted the hub's role in connecting Via Marconi's upcoming youth and artistic inclusion center with Via Oberdan's recently inaugurated Igor Mitoraj Museum. The foundation also runs other social projects: Finalmente Casa! with the Comunità di Sant'Egidio in Rome's Tor Sapienza district, converting a 2,400 sqm former industrial area into housing for elderly and refugee families; MASTRI 4.0 for job placement of vulnerable people; and a new childhood center in Agordo. No opening date has been set.
