Florentina Holzinger's 'CRASH PIPE' Halfpipe Installation Activates Hannover Public Space

Austrian performance artist Florentina Holzinger has created a new public installation titled 'CRASH PIPE' in Hannover. Developed with architectural group raumlaborberlin and organized by Kunstverein Hannover, the work consists of a metal halfpipe weighing approximately eight tons. Initially positioned on Sophienstraße near Künstlerhaus Hannover, it will later move to Raschplatz. The structure functions as both temporary architecture and a performance tool, inviting skateboarders to engage with it for two months. This project transforms urban areas into sites for movement and social interaction.
