Florence Pugh to Lead Netflix's 'East of Eden' Series
Netflix confirmed in 2024 that Florence Pugh will star as Cathy Ames in a seven-part adaptation of John Steinbeck's 1952 novel 'East of Eden'. The series, set in California's Salinas Valley, explores the Trask family saga with a focus on the antihero Cathy. Zoe Kazan, granddaughter of director Elia Kazan, serves as showrunner alongside Jeb Stuart. Garth Davis and Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre will direct.
