Five Taiwanese Street Artists Headline Bushwick Collective's First Artist Talk

In Brooklyn at LOT 45, the inaugural Bushwick Collective Artist Talk was jointly organized by the Bushwick Collective and the Taipei Cultural Center of New York, marking the 15th anniversary of the collective and the 35th of the cultural center. Taiwanese street artists ALL0, VASTAR, Candy Kuo, COLASA, and Black Zao participated, with Joe Ficalora, Linda Lu, and Jack Kuei present, while Jaime Rojo and Steven P. Harrington served as moderators. The discussion centered on Taiwan's urban art scene since the late 1980s, shaped by hip-hop and graffiti influences. Artists offered perspectives on their creative processes, touching on themes of identity, improvisation, and cultural change, while the audience engaged with questions about Taiwanese street art and its parallels to New York's graffiti legacy.
