Danish Firm Gabriel Launches Loop Program for Circular Textile Production

The Danish textile company Gabriel has introduced its Loop program, a circular production model that transforms textile waste into new, fully recyclable upholstery fabrics. Launched in 2023, the initiative employs a closed-loop recycling system that processes manufacturing scraps and used textiles through textile-to-textile recycling technologies. The program includes a take-back system to collect materials from production and clients, which are then broken down to fiber level and remanufactured. This approach aims to eliminate textile waste by keeping materials in continuous circulation, reducing reliance on virgin resources and energy consumption. The resulting collection comprises seven distinct fabrics designed for durability in contract applications like offices and public spaces.
