Cristina Rota's Autobiography Celebrates Theater and Social Commitment

Cristina Rota, renowned acting teacher to Penélope Cruz and Antonio de la Torre, has published an autobiography titled 'Una historia de teatro y r...' that serves as a declaration of love for theater and social engagement. Rota, who emigrated to Spain in 1978 after her partner disappeared, arrived with her two children, actors Juan Diego Botto and María Botto, and was pregnant with her third daughter, actress Nur Levi. In the book, she reflects on her belief that art should not be divorced from emotion, thought, love, and sex, nor the present from the past. Her philosophy was shaped by her first theater tour while still in high school.
