Costin Miereanu's Poly-Art Recordings 1976-1982 Reissued in 6-CD Set by Auryfa and Metaphon

Auryfa and Metaphon have unveiled a 6-CD reissue of Costin Miereanu's Poly-Art Recordings from 1976-1982, which compiles self-released cassettes and vinyl from that era. This anthology comprises twelve tracks spread across six albums that exemplify electronic abstraction. Miereanu, who gained recognition with his debut Luna Cinese in 1975, has seen his previously underappreciated Poly-Art works achieve cult following. The collection features early synthesizer albums such as Le Royaume de la Reine Pellapouf and Fata Morgana, foreshadowing the ambient and glitch music of the 1990s and 2000s. Notable tracks include 'Terre de Feu' (1976) and 'Finis-Terre' (1978) from Dérives, as well as 'Musique Climatique' (1979) incorporating acoustic elements. This reissue emphasizes Miereanu's diverse talents and revitalizes interest in his oeuvre.
